Do you want a better job, career or relationship? Do you want to start your own business, retire, or stop feeling frustrated? What do you need to get what you want? That’s the million-dollar question!
Reflecting on the past year helps you prepare for the New Year. I suggest taking time for reflection. Push your pause button. It’s important to set priorities based on what’s most important to you. Review all areas of your life, including health, relationships, resources (time, money, energy) and fun!
What do you need to get what you want? You need a lot of things. You need to really want what you want. Internal motivation is imperative. It helps to have passion and more importantly to have a good support system of people and resources.
What do you want that you don’t have? Is it a material possession, a new job, a new skill, more confidence or less stress. In 2016, I became a better writer and traveled more. I found a travel companion and took a writing class. I knew what I needed.
Take time to review your accomplishments. What did you specifically do to get what you want? Who helped you? How did you realign your priorities? It is important to understand what you did to get what you want. Recognize your strengths and soar even more!
Throughout the year you will step back and reflect. As things change you will reevaluate what you want and what you need. Embrace this process because it’s your ticket to greater health, happiness and success! “Better Questions lead to Better Results!” Let me know if you would like to answer my questions 🙂
