You have seen “Schedule A Free Consultation Today!” or something similar. Guess where you can find it? That’s right, it is on the home page of MargoGeller.com! This offer is important for so many reasons. The main reason is to make it easy for someone to contact and connect with you.
As a Licensed Counselor and Life Coach, I offer a Free (20-30 minute) Consultation. This is done over the phone. During this call, you can ask one question (regarding your reason for calling) and see if you like my response. My goal is to give you an opportunity to see how I work.
I also ask specific questions to determine if we are a good fit. How long have you been unhappy with your job/career/business? How motivated are you to make a change? Do you have the necessary resources (time, money, energy and people) to get the most out of working with me?
Recently a client told me that my informal style on her free call made her feel very comfortable. She was pleased that I quickly picked up on her “real” issues. Other counselors she contacted were more business like and not willing to provide professional help until she hired them.
When I refer to free I mean financial. In reality nothing is free. You are spending time and energy to find what you want. As a seller you want to fend off tire kickers or brain pickers. You don’t want to waste your time or feel taken advantage of. End the conversation if you need to.
A buyer may feel pressure to buy after a free consultation or trial. The pressure can come from the professional or seller (high pressure sales tactic) or internally especially if you are a caretaker or pleaser. “When in doubt don’t!” Take your time and be certain before making a decision.
