Are you doing what’s most important to you?

What are your highest priorities? Why does it matter?  As you approach a Personal or Work Transition you seek a stronger alignment with your strengths, values and priorities.  You need to identify and stay committed to what’s most important to you.

You might say you value friends and family time.  Or maybe it’s professional growth and good health.  How do you know if you are living your life based on your highest values and priorities?  Start by reviewing your checkbook, credit card statements and calendar!  They will let you know what your priorities are… Really!

What do you spend your money on?  How do you spend your free time? Are you doing what’s most important to you? Most of us have lots of room for improvement.  So, where do you begin?

My suggestions…

  1. Make sure you are “very” motivated to make a change
  2. Envision your “better” life with excitement!
  3. Review where you spend your money and time.
  4. Make small adjustments to align with your “ideal” life
  5. Do it as soon as possible 🙂
  6. Reflect on the benefits and then do it again!
  7. GET SUPPORT from friends or a Career and Life Coach!

Conflicting Priorities are part of life.  They are unavoidable yet manageable and always an opportunity for personal growth.  I view them like Work-Life Balance.  It happens for a short while and then something changes.  That’s life!

You make progress towards a goal (a better work life) until you get derailed by fear.  Re-focus on a data driven success story.  One which you can back up with facts!  If nothing comes to mind, then call a friend or me!  I will help you re-build and maintain your confidence!
