COVID-19, Coping and Creativity!

Being creative will help you cope better during a crisis.  Challenges energize creative people and get their creative juices flowing faster.  Now is the time to expand your creativity so can have a more positive experience during the Covid-19 crisis.

How To Become More Creative During the COVID-19 Crisis

  • Be curious.  Ask more questions (about anything you are interested in) and research on google for the answers.  Remember that rabbit holes can be dangerous!
  • Experiment by trying something new.  Make a new dish for dinner.  Draw or paint a picture.  Take an online class.  Take a stab at creative writing or journaling.
  • Create a way to do what you normally do away from home, at home. Examples are exercising or yoga, shooting hoops in your driveway or hitting a tennis ball against an outside wall.
  • Collaborate with someone who shares a passion of yours (art, health and wellness, sports, cooking, writing, old movies…)
  • Calm or quiet your mind by meditating inside or while walking. Focus on your breath taking slow deep inhales and exhales.

I believe this crisis is inspiring incredible creativity all around the world.  We are already seeing how a crisis is an opportunity! Many positive outcomes will occur as a result of responding creatively and truly caring about everyone’s welfare.

Let’s stay focused on positive possibilities and creating a better life for ourselves and others.

Stay safe and don’t touch your face 🙂
