Your “Non-Financial” Retirement Assessment

As a Certified Retirement Options Coach and Licensed Counselor, I offer a unique interactive assessment.  My questions address the impact of retiring on your identity, purpose, priorities, relationships, and time management.  Most assessments are long and tedious.  This is engaging and exciting!

Are you thinking about retirement?  It may be three or even five years away, but it’s on your mind more often.  If you are recently retired (within a few years) this assessment will help you as well.  It’s hard to know all the questions you need to ask yourself.  When we work together I’ll cover all the bases!

Transitioning smoothly into full or semi-retirement takes a thoughtful approach.  Create a hybrid lifestyle where you dabble in your retirement life while you are still working.   Start working less by taking long weekends or leaving the office earlier.  Use that time to do something you would want to do more of when you are retired!

The important people in your life are impacted by your retirement.  Your spouse, significant other or close friends will have reactions that need to be recognized.  How will you use your resources to benefit you and those you care about?  Resources include money, time, energy and other people.

Some Pre-retirement Questions to Consider:

  1. Why do you want to retire?
  2. How will you know when the time is right?
  3. How have you made big decisions in the past (more logic or gut)?
  4. What vision if any do you have for your retirement?
  5. What are you excited about?
  6. What are you worried about?
  7. With whom are you sharing your thoughts and feelings about retirement?

Assessments help you prepare a better action plan.  Knowing the gaps and where you are in good shape increases motivation and focus.  Let me know if you want to schedule your “non-financial” retirement assessment.  As always I’m happy to answer your questions.  Give a holler!
